A thousand anti corruption games for children in Surabaya
On 8 July 2015, KPK and AIPJ handed over 1,000 Semai games to Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini. It was a respond to the mayor’s request in using the tools to spread anti corruption values among children in Surabaya. The games was then distributed to 1,000 early childhood schools in the city.
Taufiqurrachman Ruki from KPK appreciates the mayor’s initiatives in building anti corruption values since childhood. “Preventing corruption in the family should be taught by parents, and this means the mothers will be involved. This will in the end build the SPAK (Saya Perempuan Anti Korupsi) movement.”
Risma agrees with the above statement. She gave an example how she encouraged school principals not to only achieve high grades from their students. But more important than that is the students integrity and honesty in achieving their grades.
DFAT Democracy and Justice Assistance Coordinator Esther Sainsbury said that the Semai games was initiated by KPK in collaboration with AIPJ, with the objectives to build moral values of preventing corruption.
