Supreme Court holds innovation competition
On 19 August 2015, the Indonesian Supreme Court launched the competition on innovation for court services. Chief Justice Hatta Ali and 11 Supreme Court leaders officially announced the starting of the competition right after the 70th anniversary ceremony of the Supreme Court.
The competition is an effort to appreciate and promote innovation in court to achieve better public services. It is also held to measure how far the law on Public Services and Transparent Public Information have been implemented in courts throughout Indonesia. A dedicated website will play as an information center for this competition: inovasi.mahkamahagung.go.id and can be accessed by public.
Chief Justice Ali encourages all courts to register their innovations which have brought better services to the public. In the future, the best innovations are hoped to be replicated by other courts and create a more professional, accountable, and dedicated institution.
