More transparent and efficient courts

More Transparent and Efficient Courts

AIPJ's work with judicial institutions focuses on two main outcomes:
1.    Consistent, timely and transparent decisions
AIPJ is assisting the Judicial Commission and the Supreme Court of Indonesia to make judicial decisions more consistent and available to the public. This involves developing court monitoring systems and supporting the upload of judicial decisions onto the Supreme Court's website. AIPJ supports institutional reform with the Supreme Court to improve case flow management and enable organizational restructuring.
2.    Accessible courts and court processes
Our activities include increasing the number of people accessing Alternative Dispute Resolution, helping courts to raise public service standards and developing new ways to manage small claims and traffic cases. These activities are supported by civil society partners and strong peer-to peer relationships between the Indonesian and Australian Courts and between the Indonesian and NSW Judicial Commissions.
