"Saya, Perempuan Anti Korupsi!' won best program in IPRAS 2015
The program "I Women Against Corruption" (SPAK) initiated by the KPK won the best program on the Inspirational PR Competition in the Government Institution category. The event was hosted by Serikat Perusahaan Pers at the Indonesia Public Relations Award and Summit (IPRAS) 2015 . The award was given by public relations practitioners, Elizabeth Gunawan Ananto on Tuesday (27/10) at the House of the Press Council, Central Jakarta.
Executive Head of Public Relations of the Commission Yuyuk Andriati Isaac who received the award was grateful for the appreciation given. This achievement will become a mirror for the Commission's to improve other programs.
"Every program must have segments, formats and most importantly great benefits in fighting corruption," she said.
However, Yuyuk stressed out that the program's success was due to the increasing public participation. Women now have awareness and concerns to initiate anti-corruption attitudes and spread the knowledge to their closest people.
Since its launch, the program has educated women from various regions in Indonesia. Until now, the SPAK program has reached more than 200 thousand women with various backgrounds, ranging from housewives, civil servants, teachers, students, to community and religious leaders. In 2016, this program aims to educate 1 million women throughout Indonesia.
Yuyuk explained, this program has brought a number of changes. It has released hundreds of poor couples from extortion when handling legal identity documents; increased critical attitude of women to ask where the money given by her husband came from; the wife no longer use office facilities for personal purposes, such as service vehicles, and so on.
Most importantly, "Mothers have started to seriously introduce and teach honesty in their family," she said.
SPAK program, was launched on 21 April 2014 in collaboration with the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ). This year, the program was launched by the Commission as a national movement on 21 April 2015, to coincide with the momentum of Kartini Day.
